Asahi DC-6082 stand fan review: 35W for a whole night

The Asahi DC-6082 is our Best Overall stand fan on Shopee Philippines: a 35W DC inverter motor moving 54.5 m³/min across 12 speeds, with a 9-hour timer and a remote, at around ₱5,000.

How much air does it actually move?

Asahi publishes 54.5 m³/min at 1,000 rpm, which is the number that matters and the number most brands in this category refuse to print. In practice that is a comfortable bedroom fan: enough to cover a double bed and the space around it, not enough to serve a full sala with the windows open.

Be clear about the trade you are making. Asahi’s own PF-631 moves 71.6 m³/min for half the money, because a 65W AC motor simply pushes harder than a 35W DC one. You are not buying this fan for raw air. You are buying it for what that air costs.

The 5-leaf AS plastic blade is part of why it feels different from a cheap fan. A 3-leaf blade chops the air into a pulsing beat you notice at night; five blades smooth it into something closer to a steady breeze.

Twelve speeds is the other real gain. Three-speed fans force a choice between too little and too much. Twelve steps means there is an actual setting for 2am.

How is the build and control?

Standard Asahi: a heavy base, servo-motor oscillation across 90 degrees, and indexed tilting so you can aim it up at a bed or down at a floor mat. Ninety degrees is narrower than the 140 you get on a Xiaomi, so this is a fan for one or two people, not a room where everyone sits somewhere different.

Controls run through a soft-touch panel with an LED display showing speed, preset, and timer, plus a remote. The 9-hour timer is the piece worth paying for. A stand fan does nothing for an empty room, so the ability to set eight hours and forget it is what converts the DC motor’s efficiency into an actual lower bill.

The downside of all this is that there is more to fail than on a rotary switch. A control board and a remote are two things a ₱2,500 fan does not have.

Is the Asahi DC-6082 sulit?

The value case is arithmetic, not opinion. At 35W and eight hours a night it draws about 8.4 kWh a month, roughly ₱124 at around ₱14.78 per kWh (Meralco, August 2026). A 65W AC fan on the same schedule costs about ₱231. That is roughly ₱107 a month, or about ₱1,280 a year, back in your pocket.

Against the ₱2,500 Asahi PF-631, the ₱2,500 price gap closes in a little under two and a half years of nightly use. Stand fans routinely last longer than that, so if you run a fan most nights of the year this is the cheaper fan to own, even though it is the dearer fan to buy.

The rating helps too. A 4.9 average is common on Shopee, but this one rests on 2,465 raters, the deepest sample of any DC fan we compared.

Who the Asahi DC-6082 suits

Buy this if you run a fan most nights and want the bill to reflect that. It is the right choice for a Pinoy bedroom where the fan goes on at 9pm and should be off by 5am, and for anyone who would rather have twelve speeds and a timer than a rotary knob. If the fan only comes out in April and May, or if you need to cool a whole sala, spend less and buy more airflow instead.

If the Asahi DC-6082 is not right

If running cost is the whole point, the Asahi DC-6072 goes further: 58.4 m³/min from just 24W, with 24 speeds and a 15-hour timer, though it costs around ₱7,800. If you would rather spend on air than on electronics, the Asahi PF-631 moves 71.6 m³/min at around ₱2,500, with no timer, no remote, and a 65W appetite.
