Design, and honesty demands we say so plainly. The Space On Plus is a portable mood lamp: cordless, dimmable, and shaped to sit on a shelf or a dinner table and look good. On pure lighting function, the ₱179 Gold Star clock lamp does as much.
The cordless part is genuinely useful in a way that suits how these get used. It moves from a bedside table to a dinner table to a balcony without a socket, which is exactly what a mood lamp should do and what a plug-in one can’t.
Dimmable rather than fixed matters too, since a mood lamp stuck at one brightness is useless half the time.
What should give you pause?
