Dreepor 1.8L mini rice cooker review

The Dreepor 1.8L mini rice cooker is our Best Budget pick: a multifunction cooker with a steamer for around ₱306. If you just need to cook rice and the odd hot pot without spending much, this is the entry point.

It also works as a small hot pot for noodles

It cooks rice, steams with the included tray, and works as a small hot pot for noodles or soup. At 1.8L it’s sized for a couple or a small family of 2–3 with a bit left over, roughly two cups of uncooked rice, enough for a weeknight dinner plus baon the next day. Stack the steamer tray on top and rice cooks below while veggies, fish, or siomai steam above. That’s two dishes from one appliance, and one less burner in a cramped kitchen.

A cheap first cooker, with generic build quality

Around ₱306 as of August 6, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. It’s one of the cheapest multi-cookers on Shopee PH, roughly the price of a takeout meal. It’s a generic brand, so treat it as a low-risk starter rather than a buy-it-for-life appliance. The 10K+ units sold and 4.7 rating suggest most buyers are happy for what they paid, just don’t expect the build of a branded unit.

Grains don’t bake onto the non-stick pan

Yes. The non-stick pan wipes down after rice or hot pot, so grains don’t bake on. Wash it with a soft sponge and dish soap once it cools, and skip steel wool and metal spoons so the coating lasts. The steamer tray rinses clean the same way.

Rice and a steamer for a dorm room

Buy this if you’re kitting out a dorm or small kitchen on a tight budget and want rice plus a steamer for the price of a takeout meal. It suits students, solo renters, or a barkada sharing one pot. If you regularly cook for more than three, size up instead. See sturdier options in our best rice cookers in the Philippines roundup.
