Solid stainless tools with a department-store name behind them, but four pieces and no holder is thin for the price.

The Primera by Metro MPKT 7616 is a stainless steel tool set with department-store backing. The tools are decent and the retailer is real. The piece count is what makes it hard to recommend at the price.
Stainless heads that will not warp, soften, or stain. Where a nylon turner slowly deforms over years of hot pans, steel simply does not have that failure mode. These are tools you buy once.
The TPR handles are a nice touch: soft, grippy when wet, and with metal-ringed hanging holes so the set stores on a rail. And it is dishwasher safe, which none of the wood-handled sets in this category can claim.
Metro Home behind it means a real retailer to deal with if something goes wrong, rather than a shop that may not exist next month.
Only cooks with the right pans. Steel scratches non-stick, full stop. If your kitchen runs on a coated kawali, this set will slowly ruin it. It belongs with stainless pots, cast iron, and carbon steel.
That is not a defect, it is a fit question, but it rules out a lot of Filipino kitchens where a non-stick pan does most of the work.
Four tools and no holder. For the money, that is thin. A slotted turner, a solid turner, a solid spoon, and a soup ladle cover the basics, but there is no whisk, no tongs, and nowhere to put them.
The comparison that hurts is within its own category: Chefβs Galleryβs stainless set gives you five tools including a pasta server, names every piece, and costs less. On specs alone that is the better steel buy.
Feedback is also thin at 11 ratings, so there is not much owner evidence either way.
Around β±999 as of August 1, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. You are paying a department-store premium for four tools. If Metro Home backing genuinely matters to you, that is a defensible reason to pay it. On tools-per-peso, it is not the strongest case in this category.
Buy this if you cook on stainless or cast iron, want tools that go in the dishwasher, and value buying through a real retailer over squeezing out the best value. Skip it if your pans are non-stick, or if you would rather have more tools for less.

Want stainless with more tools for less? The Chefβs Gallery CG487 stainless steel set, our Best Stainless pick, adds a pasta server and names all five pieces. Cooking on non-stick? The same Metro line does a nylon set with a stainless holder that is safe on coated pans.
Yes. Stainless heads are harder than a non-stick coating and will cut into it. This set belongs with stainless pots, cast iron, and carbon steel woks. If your main pan is coated, buy silicone or nylon.
TPR is a soft rubber-like plastic used for grips. It gives a bit of cushioning and stays grippy when your hands are wet, which is the main advantage over hard plastic handles.
Four: a slotted turner, a solid turner, a solid spoon, and a soup ladle. There is no holder, no tongs, and no whisk.
It means a real department-store retailer stands behind the sale rather than an anonymous marketplace shop. If something arrives damaged, there is an actual company to deal with. That is worth a premium to some buyers, though how much is a personal call.
