Both publish the same thing about their probiotic content: nothing. No bacterial strain, no live organism count, no guaranteed analysis, no dosing by body weight.

So the comparison is not premium versus budget in any measurable sense. It is a brand with a track record against an unbranded product with a large rating history, at three times the price. That is a real difference, and it is a difference in accountability rather than in documented content.

The two numbers a probiotic actually needs

The strain. Not the species, the strain, because two strains of the same species do different things. Where probiotics have decent evidence in dogs, it is specific strains studied for specific problems, usually acute diarrhoea, rather than a general gut-health effect.

The count. Colony-forming units per serving, which is the only way to know whether a useful number of organisms is present.
