Simplus LiteDry C6 12L vs Xiaomi Dehumidifier Lite 13L

These two are the roll-around options in our dehumidifier ranking, they extract about the same amount of water, and one costs a good deal more than the other. What the extra money buys is information and control, not performance.

What does the Xiaomi actually give you for the money?

A spec sheet nobody else in this category publishes, and an app.

Xiaomi documents everything: 13 L/day at 30°C and 80% relative humidity, a 3L tank, 15 to 25 sqm coverage, 140 m3/h airflow, up to 38 dB(A), 190W rated and 250W maximum, an operating range of 5 to 35°C, plus smart defrosting, refrigerant leak protection and a child lock. Wi-Fi and Mi Home give you scheduling and remote control.

Simplus documents very little: up to 12 L/day, a touch panel with three modes, a humidity sensing light, castors. No wattage, no coverage area, no noise figure.

If you are the kind of buyer who wants to know what an appliance draws and how loud it is before it arrives, that gap is the whole argument for the Xiaomi.

What does the Simplus give you that Xiaomi does not?

A better first year, on paper.

A 1-year warranty that replaces rather than repairs, from the Simplus Official Shop with a Shopee Mall badge. On a compressor appliance, replacement cover is stronger than repair cover, and it is a real answer to the usual worry about a newer brand.

It also costs noticeably less for similar extraction, which matters if this is a second unit or a laundry-area machine rather than the one that lives in your bedroom.

Which one for a bedroom?

The Xiaomi, on the strength of the published 38 dB and app scheduling. Being able to set it to run in the afternoon and stop before bedtime is genuinely useful, and it is the one thing the Simplus cannot do.

The counter-argument is honest: 38 dB is still a compressor cycling on and off, and some people find that worse than a constant hum regardless of the number.

Which one for the rest of the house?

The Simplus. For a laundry area, a stockroom, or a sala during a wet week, you want extraction and wheels, and you do not want to pay for scheduling. The humidity sensing light is enough feedback to tell whether the room has caught up.

Both are compressor units, which means both are noticeably louder than the small peltier boxes sold as dehumidifiers, and both genuinely dry a room rather than collecting a token cup of water. That part is not in question with either.
