How far does it actually reach?

16 feet extended straight, from four hinged sections of four rungs. That’s roughly 4.9m, enough for gutters, a second-storey window, or an exterior wall on a two-level house. Nothing else in this category comes close: the tallest telescopic here tops out around 3.2m.

The hinges are the other half of the story. It sets up as an A-frame, a straight ladder, a stepped scaffold (useful on stairs, where a normal ladder can’t sit level), or a hanging platform. One ladder covering jobs that usually need two is a real argument at this price.

What’s the safety detail nobody mentions?

This is the most important thing in the review, so we’ll be blunt about it. Surestep publishes two load ratings: 150kg in A-frame position, but only 100kg as a straight ladder or scaffold.

Most listings quote the 150kg and stop. If you weigh 90kg and carry a 15kg bag of tools up it while it’s leaning against a wall, you are over the straight-ladder rating, on the tallest and most exposed setup. Nothing about the ladder tells you this while you’re using it.

We rate the fact that Surestep publishes the split at all as a point in its favor, because most brands here publish one flattering number or none. But know which mode you’re in.

Is it well made?

Aluminum alloy with 6cm frame thickness, anti-slip rungs, and non-slip rubber feet, which matters on tile and on wet concrete. Surestep is a genuine ladder manufacturer, not a Shopee label, and it’s stocked here by Handyman and Abenson.

The trade-offs are physical. It folds to a long bundle rather than a compact block, so it needs garage or bodega wall space, and it’s heavier and more awkward for one person to carry than a telescopic. The hinges also add moving parts you should check are locked before every climb.

Is it sulit?

Around ₱5,600 as of July 30, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. It’s the most expensive ladder we’ve covered, and worth noting that Philippine retailers list this model around ₱4,888, so it pays to compare before buying.

Value depends entirely on whether you need the height. If your tallest job is a ceiling fixture, this is far more ladder than you need and a telescopic costs ₱1,000 less. If you have gutters, a second storey, or stairwell walls, nothing cheaper does the job safely.

The perfect rating here comes from a small number of orders, so weigh the specs and the brand’s retail presence more heavily than the star count.
