Tefal Ultracompact Barbecue Griller GC302 review

The Tefal Ultracompact GC302 is the premium option here at around ₱6,500: 1600W, two cooking positions, and die-cast aluminum plates with an integrated drip tray. It costs more than twice the next griller in this list, and what you get for it is build quality rather than watts.

What do the two positions do?

The GC302 opens into two configurations. In grill position it works as a contact grill, cooking from both sides at once, which halves the time on chicken and thicker cuts. In barbecue position it lies flat and doubles the cooking surface, which is the samgyupsal layout. One appliance, two genuinely different jobs.

Is the build worth it?

This is where the money goes. Die-cast aluminum plates are thicker and heavier than the pressed plates on cheaper grillers, so they hold heat when cold food lands and they do not warp over time. The integrated drip tray channels fat away rather than letting it pool. Tefal also has service presence in the Philippines, which matters on an appliance you expect to keep.

Is the Tefal electric griller sulit?

Around ₱6,500 as of August 19, 2026. If it lasts five years, which is a fair expectation for die-cast plates from Tefal, that is a bit over ₱100 a month. Set against a ₱900 Kyowa the arithmetic only works if you grill often and you want it to last; for occasional use it is a lot of appliance.

Who the Tefal electric griller suits

Buy this if you grill weekly, you want a contact grill as well as a flat barbecue, and you would rather buy once. Buy cheaper if grilling is a few times a year.
