What makes it different from a rolling ball toy?

Cats do not only chase. They also stalk and ambush, and that half of the hunt is what most toys ignore. This one covers it. A feather shoots out of a port in the side of the base at random intervals, then pulls back in, so your cat has to crouch, wait, and pounce at the right moment. That waiting game tires a cat out far more than a straight chase does.
