What does it do?

You spray it onto a dry coat before brushing. It reduces friction so the brush glides rather than dragging, which makes tangles easier to work out and the whole process less unpleasant for the pet.

It’s a brushing aid, not a cleaner

The clearest way to think about this: it does nothing about dirt. A pet that needs washing still needs washing, and no amount of detangler substitutes for that.
