CMSH 590ml protein shaker review: mixing ball included

The CMSH ships with a mixing ball, which is the one accessory that changes how a shaker performs. It’s also one of the priciest manual bottles here, and it comes from a reseller rather than a brand store.

The mixing ball is the reason to buy it

A shaker without a ball relies entirely on liquid hitting the walls. That’s enough for standard whey and not enough for much else, because clumps settle into the base and never take a hard enough hit to break up.

A wire or metal ball fixes that by moving independently inside the bottle. It cuts through the powder rather than pushing it around, and it reaches the corners your shaking motion doesn’t. The difference shows up most with thicker powders: mass gainers, oat blends, and plant proteins that turn gritty in a plain bottle.

Most shakers in this category ship without one, and a ball bought separately is fiddly to match to a bottle. Having it included is worth more than the spec sheet suggests.

590ml, and why that’s the useful range

A scoop of whey wants roughly 200ml to 300ml of water, and a shaker needs empty space above the liquid to mix properly. 590ml leaves you around half the bottle as working room for a standard shake, which is the sweet spot: enough to mix cleanly, small enough to fit a bag pocket and a car cup holder.

Who should pay extra for the ball

Buy this if you mix anything thicker than plain whey and you’d rather solve that with a ₱359 bottle than a ₱973 motorized one. That’s the sensible middle of this category, and the ball does most of what people buy an electric shaker for.

Skip it if you take standard whey, where a cheaper ball-less bottle mixes perfectly well, and skip it if buying from an official store is something you insist on.
