KEELAT KID005 impact wrench review: cheap, and cheerfully vague

The KEELAT KID005 is the cheapest cordless impact wrench in this category, at around ₱899 with two 4,000mAh batteries, eight impact sockets and a case. That’s a lot of hardware for the money. What you don’t get is any idea of what it can actually undo.

What’s the headline number?

There isn’t one, not a real one. The listing leads with “288 MAX VF”, and VF is not a unit of anything. It isn’t volts, it isn’t newton-metres, and it exists because a big number sells better than a blank space. There is no torque figure published for this model anywhere we could find.

That matters more here than it would on, say, a work light. Torque is the entire definition of an impact wrench. Without it, you’re buying on the shape of the tool and hoping.

For context, our impact wrench buying guide explains why car lug nuts need roughly 100-140Nm, and perhaps double that when seized. Most entry cordless wrenches clear that. This one probably does too. “Probably” is the best we can honestly offer.

What is genuinely good about it?

The batteries. Two 4,000mAh packs is the same capacity you get from KEELAT wrenches at twice the price, and more than INGCO ships with its ₱5,600 combo. Since an impact wrench drains hard in bursts, that capacity is worth real money.

The eight impact sockets are the right kind, too: the tougher black steel that won’t crack under hammering, in a 1/2in square drive that matches car lug nuts. Plenty of pricier wrenches ship with none at all.

Where does it fall short?

Beyond the missing torque figure, it’s the only KEELAT wrench here not labelled brushless. A brushed motor in an impact wrench wears faster, because the short violent bursts this tool works in are exactly the load that heats carbon brushes. At this price that’s expected, but it’s a real difference from the KID001S just above it.

And as with every Shopee-first brand in this category, there’s no Philippine service center, and the warranty is seller-stated rather than manufacturer-backed.

Is it sulit?

Around ₱899 as of July 31, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. As the entry point to the category, it’s tempting, and the batteries make it more than a toy.

But look at what roughly ₱800 more buys. The KEELAT KID001S at around ₱1,700 adds a brushless motor, a stated 380Nm, and two more sockets. That’s a motor type and a number where this one offers neither. If you can stretch, stretch.

Where this one earns its place is as a second wrench, or for someone who needs the tool once a year and wants the cheapest thing that will turn a nut.

Who should buy it

Buy this if the budget is genuinely fixed under ₱1,000 and you mainly want the tool sitting in the car for a flat tire. It’s also reasonable as a spare to leave at a second home.
