The Skyler 3-step steel ladder is our Best Value pick: three steel steps for around ₱1,400, which is roughly what the rest of this category charges for two. The catch is that nobody publishes what it can hold.

What do you get for the price?

Three steps of folding steel, at ₱400 more than the cheapest 2-step here and ₱1,100 less than the industrial Tolsen. Three steps puts you roughly 60 to 70cm up, enough to reach a 2.4 to 2.6m ceiling comfortably: ceiling bulbs, aircon filters, the top of a tall cabinet.

Step for step, it’s the cheapest way up in this group, and it holds a 4.9 rating across 262 sold.

Who actually makes it?

Skyler Ladder is a Philippine manufacturer based in Meycauayan, Bulacan, which is more reassuring than a nameless import. We checked, because the listing sells through a third-party shop (Eagle Professional Tools) rather than a brand store, and that’s usually where relabeled generics hide.

So the brand is real. What it doesn’t do is publish anything about the product.

What’s the honest catch?

The listing calls it “heavy duty.” We could find no published load rating, no material grade, and no dimensions from Skyler or the seller.

We’ll be blunt: on a ladder, “heavy duty” without a number is marketing, not a spec. It may well be perfectly strong, and 262 buyers rating it 4.9 suggests it isn’t falling apart. But you’re trusting a phrase instead of a figure, and you can’t check whether it fits your storage gap before it arrives.

That’s the whole reason it ranks below the Tolsen despite costing ₱1,100 less.

Is it sulit?

Around ₱1,400 as of July 30, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. On pesos per step it’s the best deal in the category, and for an average-weight user doing occasional household jobs it’s a lot of ladder for the money.

If you’re a heavier user, or you’ll be carrying a toolbag up it, spend the extra on a ladder that states a rating.

Who should buy it

Buy this if you want three steps on a tight budget from a local maker, and you’re comfortable that the safety documentation isn’t there. It’s the right choice for light, occasional household use.
