What does self-modulating heat do?

It solves the most common complaint about instant heaters.

A fixed-output heater runs its element at one level regardless of what the water is doing. So when someone opens a tap in the kitchen and your shower pressure drops, the same heat now meets less water and the temperature spikes; when pressure returns, it falls. That swing is why people describe cheap instant heaters as unpredictable.

Self-modulating units vary the output as flow changes, holding the temperature steadier through those pressure shifts. In a Filipino household where several people are using water at once, that is a genuine daily improvement rather than a specification.

The LCD touchscreen gives you a set temperature rather than a power level, and the unit is rated 6,500W.

What is missing, and what does it draw?

The familiar gaps. No published IP rating, no published ELCB or earth leakage protection, no published warranty period.

And the electrical reality: 6,500W draws about 29.5 amps at 220V, which needs a dedicated breaker and heavy wire. That is the single most important thing to establish before buying any heater in this class, and it applies here exactly as it does to the ₱1,400 units.

If your wiring cannot take it, the Gold Star Intelligence at ₱1,400 switches down to 3,500W and is the better answer.

Whatever you buy in this band, have an electrician fit an RCD or ELCB at the panel and confirm the ground. In a wet room at 230V that is what actually prevents electrocution, and none of these units promise it.

Is this shower heater sulit?

This is where the ranking gets uncomfortable, and it is better to say it plainly than to pad the review.

The Gold Star Premium costs around ₱1,400 and has 9,435 raters. The IMUTO Flagship costs around ₱1,500, ships as a complete shower set, sits on a Shopee Mall listing, and has 1,159 raters. This one costs ₱2,200 and has 39 raters.

All three are 6,500W. None publishes an IP rating, an ELCB, or a warranty. So you are paying ₱700 to ₱800 more for the self-modulating feature and Tixx’s own store, and giving up a great deal of owner evidence.

The self-modulating heat is a real feature, and the Gold Star Intelligence has it too at ₱1,400. Buying from Tixx Official Store rather than a reseller is worth something for after-sales. Whether that adds up to ₱800 is a judgment call, and ours is that it does not quite, which is why this ranks seventh.

Who this shower heater suits

Buy this if you specifically want a Tixx unit bought from the brand’s own Shopee store, and steady temperature through pressure drops is the feature you care most about. It is a sound heater and the 4.8 rating is good. For most buyers, the cheaper Gold Star and IMUTO units offer the same wattage class with far more owner feedback behind them.
