Xiaomi AX1500 review: sulit Wi-Fi 6 extender with a gigabit port

Why is this the value Wi-Fi 6 buy?

Because of what usually gets cut at this price. Most extenders around ₱2,000 are Wi-Fi 5, and most of the cheap ones carry a 10/100Mbps Ethernet port that throttles anything you wire in. The AX1500 keeps both the newer standard and the gigabit port, which is a genuinely rare pairing in this bracket.

EasyMesh is the other reason. It is an industry standard rather than a brand-locked system like TP-Link’s OneMesh, so the AX1500 can join a single roaming network with any EasyMesh router. You get one Wi-Fi name across the house without being tied to one manufacturer.

What does it give up against the RE705X?

For streaming, video calls, cloud work, and general browsing, 1201Mbps after a repeat hop is far more than any of it needs, and the RE705X costs more than double.
