At around β±259 as of August 19, 2026. The listing states a material and stops, so start with why the material is worth something.
Plastic platforms are the norm at this price, and in a Filipino kitchen they age badly.
Staining. Turmeric, atsuete and tomato-based sauces mark plastic permanently. A scale used for cooking as well as baking goes orange and stays orange.
Smells. Plastic holds the smell of fish, bagoong and garlic, and passes it to whatever sits on the platform next.
Scratches. Fine scratches on a plastic surface trap residue and are hard to clean properly.
Stainless does none of that. It wipes clean, ignores acid, and looks the same in three years as on day one. It is also heavier, which helps a small scale stay put on a counter.
Maximum capacity, and more importantly graduation, the smallest step the display reads in.
Graduation is the spec that decides what a scale can do. In whole grams it handles flour, sugar and meat and cannot handle yeast, salt, baking soda or coffee, all of which are weighed in single grams. Every digital scale also has a minimum below which it reads nothing at all.
Thirteen of the seventeen kitchen scales we list publish no graduation, so this is a category habit rather than one sellerβs oversight. It is still the question to ask before ordering.
Worth doing with any scale and especially with a brand you cannot look up.
Put a known weight on it: a 1kg bag of sugar, or a litre of water, which weighs a kilo. If it reads within a few grams, the scale is sane. If it is out by fifty, return it.
Then check it holds zero empty, and returns to zero after a load comes off. Drift is the failure mode on cheap load cells and it shows up in the first minute.
Whatever the graduation turns out to be, a scale at this price is the best accuracy upgrade a home baker can buy.
A cup of flour ranges roughly 120g to 150g depending on whether you scooped from the bag or spooned it in. That is a 25% swing in the main ingredient of a cake, and no set of measuring cups fixes it. A scale removes the question, and the tare button removes the washing up along with it.
Buy this if you want a stainless platform at a low price, you cook as much as you bake, and you will ask about the resolution first.
Skip it if you need to know the specs before ordering.

For cleaning and for smells, yes. Stainless wipes clean, does not stain from turmeric or atsuete, and does not hold the smell of fish or garlic the way plastic does.
Neither is published, which is true of most scales on this page. Ask the shop, because the graduation decides whether it can weigh small amounts.
Put a known weight on it. A 1kg bag of sugar or a litre of water should read within a few grams, and the display should return to zero when you lift it off.
