Kyowa 7L digital air fryer KW-3834 review

At around ₱5,000 as of August 6, 2026: 7L, 1700W, 230V, ten presets and a published 38.5 x 33.4 x 35cm footprint. That combination of stated numbers is rare on this page.

What 1700W actually costs

Most air fryer listings here omit the wattage, which means you cannot work out the running cost. This one does not.

At Meralco rates of roughly ₱12 to ₱13 a kilowatt-hour, 1700W for twenty minutes is about 0.57 kWh, or roughly ₱7. Half an hour is closer to ₱11.

Set that against the alternative. A full-size electric oven draws more and takes far longer to heat, so cooking a tray of chicken in an oven costs several times as much. That is the honest economic case for an air fryer, and you can only make it when the wattage is published.

The appliance does not save money on its own. It saves money against an oven, for small batches.

Seven litres means floor area, not volume

Air frying works by moving hot air around each piece. Pile the basket and the middle steams instead of crisping, which is the commonest reason a new fryer disappoints its owner.

So the usable capacity is roughly a single layer on the basket floor, and 7L buys you a bigger floor. For a family that is the difference between one batch and three, which is where a large fryer earns its price.

The dimensions are the spec people skip

38.5cm wide, 33.4cm deep, 35cm tall, and it is worth measuring your counter before ordering.

Air fryers also vent hot air, usually from the back, so they need clearance behind and above. Pushed against a wall under a cabinet, a fryer recirculates its own exhaust, cooks less evenly and runs hotter than it should.

Published dimensions let you check both. Very few listings in this category provide them.

What ten presets are and are not

A preset is a saved time and temperature combination with a picture of chips on it. It is a convenience, not a different cooking mode, and the machine does nothing a manual setting cannot.

The two habits that actually improve results cost nothing. Preheat for a few minutes, because food put into a cold chamber steams before it crisps. And shake the basket halfway, because the pieces touching the floor are the ones not getting air.

Where it sits on price

Around ₱5,000 is the upper half of this category, and several 7L fryers here cost a third of that. What the money buys is a brand with local service presence, a published specification, and a model number you can look up for parts.

That is a defensible premium and it is not a performance one.

Who the KW-3834 suits

Buy this if you cook for a family, you want to know what an appliance draws and how much room it needs, and you want a brand with support behind it.

Skip it if price is the deciding number, where large baskets here cost far less.
