650ml whey protein shaker mug review

650ml is a genuinely useful size for anyone taking more than one scoop, and this is one of the cheaper ways to get there. What you give up is any idea of who made it.

650ml is the double-scoop size

A single scoop of whey wants roughly 200ml to 300ml of water. Two scoops want closer to 500ml, and a shaker needs empty space above the liquid or it sloshes instead of mixing.

That arithmetic is why 400ml and 500ml bottles frustrate people who take doubles. At 650ml you can put 500ml of shake in and still have 150ml of working air, or mix a single serving and top the bottle up with water to drink afterwards. For mass gainers, which are usually two scoops into a lot of liquid, it’s close to the minimum useful size.

No ball, no strainer, no insulation

Nothing ships inside to break up clumps. With standard whey that’s manageable if you put water in first and powder second, then shake properly for fifteen seconds or so. With a thick gainer, which is exactly what a 650ml bottle invites you to mix, you’ll get lumps.

That’s the mismatch worth naming: the size suits heavy powders and the bottle has nothing to help mix them.

It isn’t insulated either, so a cold shake is lukewarm within the hour. Normal at this price, and worth knowing if you mix at home and drink at the gym.

Cheap for the size, with the usual no-name risk

The brand is the gap. There’s no manufacturer behind this, so units vary, and the lid seal is the part that varies in a way you’ll care about. Fill it with plain water, turn it upside down, and give it a shake before you put a full shake in your bag. A leaking shaker ruins a bag of gym clothes once and then gets thrown away.

Who the roomy mug suits

Buy this if you take double scoops or mix gainers, you want the capacity without paying much, and you’re willing to check the seal yourself. As a cheap way to get real capacity it does the job.

Skip it if you want something that helps you mix, or if you’d rather buy from a seller who’ll still be there in a year.
