How much cleaning does 5,500Pa do?

Be clear about this first, because it is the whole trade.

5,500Pa is entry-level suction. The mid-range sticks in our roundup run 20,000Pa to 27,000Pa, which is several times more. This vacuum is a surface cleaner: hard floors, everyday dust, crumbs, light pet hair on tile, a car interior.

What it will not do is pull dirt out of a rug or handle a house with heavy shedding. If you buy it expecting that, you will be disappointed, and that mismatch rather than build quality is what most complaints in this price band are actually about.

The 150W motor runs 30 minutes on standard and 15 on high, from a 2,200mAh lithium cell. Deerma rates it for up to 120 square meters on a full charge, which is a condo or a small house on standard power. Charging takes up to 3.5 hours, so the charge-to-clean ratio is poor.

What is it like to handle?

This is where it earns its place. 1.8kg as a full stick, 1.1kg as a handheld.

That handheld figure is the useful one. At 1.1kg you can hold it at an awkward angle inside a car, along stair treads, or over a sofa for long enough to actually finish the job. Heavier vacuums make you put the work off.

Two practical details are better than the price suggests. The 0.6L bin is generous, matching the Panasonic that costs three times as much, so you are not emptying mid-clean. And the filtration is cyclonic plus a stainless steel HEPA filter that washes out, so there is no consumable to rebuy, which matters over years.

It also parks upright on its own, so there is no wall dock to install.
