Firefly FHF603 review: the priciest, telling you the least

The Firefly FHF603 is the most expensive portable aircon we rank, at around ₱23,300 as of August 11, 2026, offering 1.5HP in a plain, uncluttered body from Firefly’s own store.

What do you actually get?

Capacity and a name. 1.5HP covers roughly 15 to 20 sqm based on what comparable brands publish, which is a large bedroom or a small sala, and puts it above most of the 1HP field here.

It is sold by Firefly Electric & Lighting, the manufacturer itself, in a clean design with a top control panel, a remote, and castors. As a machine there is nothing wrong with it.

Why does it rank last?

Because at the highest price in the category, the listing tells you the least.

There is no BTU rating, no wattage, no room coverage, and no warranty period. Every one of those exists on cheaper units here: Hanabishi publishes coverage and five years on the compressor, Dowell publishes a BTU figure, Tough Mama publishes wattage.

The sharper problem is internal. Firefly’s own cheaper FHF601 lists anti-frost and compressor delay protection, the features that keep a portable aircon alive through brownouts, and this listing lists neither. It may be an omission on the page rather than the product, which is worth asking the seller about, but as published it is a step backwards from the same brand’s cheaper model.

Is the Firefly FHF603 sulit?

Around ₱23,300 as of August 11, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. Across five years, typical for this class, that is roughly ₱388 a month. For comparison, the Fujidenzo also gives you 1.5HP, plus R32 refrigerant and self-evaporative drainage, for around ₱6,000 less. We would not call this sulit.

Who the Firefly FHF603 suits

Buy this only if you want 1.5HP specifically from Firefly, you have confirmed the warranty and the compressor protection with the seller, and the price is not the deciding factor. For most buyers wanting 1.5HP, the Fujidenzo costs less and publishes far more.
