What does the money buy?

Capacity, verified by an independent lab.

The AHAM-verified figures are 254 CFM dust, 250 smoke and 289 pollen, which is roughly double the Core 300S at 141 CFM. That difference is not a refinement, it is a different scale of machine.

Applying the standard sizing rule (CADR of at least five times the room area in sqm), 250 CFM properly serves about 85 sqm at five air changes an hour. The PH listing quotes an ideal room size of 94 sqm on a more relaxed assumption. Either way, this is the only unit in our ranking that genuinely handles an open-plan floor: sala, dining and kitchen with the air moving freely between them.

It also brings the pet features from the Vital 100S: the large U-shaped inlet that resists hair clogging and the washable pre-filter that saves the expensive HEPA layer from fur.

Where does it stop making sense?

The moment the room gets smaller.

In a bedroom this is money burned. A Core 300 at around ₱6,200 does the same job in a 20 sqm room, with the same filter grade and the same 2-year warranty. You would run the Vital 200S on its lowest settings permanently, paying for capacity you never touch.

It is also the largest and heaviest unit we rank, so in a small room it physically dominates the space.

And the running cost is real. The ARC formula filters are physically bigger and cost noticeably more per replacement than Core-series filters. The comparison that decides it is against buying two mid-range units. Two Xiaomi 4 Lites cost around ₱14,600 together and give you 720 m³/h split across two rooms. For two separate closed rooms, that is clearly better value. For one genuinely open floor, where air circulates freely, a single big machine works better than two smaller ones fighting each other, and this is the one to buy.

Who should buy it

Buy this if you have a large open-plan floor, ideally with pets, and smaller purifiers have visibly failed to keep up. It is the right choice for a big Filipino home where the sala, dining and kitchen are one connected space, and for households where allergies plus animals make air quality a daily issue rather than an occasional one.

Skip it for any single closed room. The capacity is wasted, the footprint is intrusive, and the filters cost more than they need to.
