MHW-3BOMBER 100ml double-spout stainless measuring cup review

A 100ml stainless cup with a spout on each side, at around ₱590 as of August 19, 2026. It is the dearest thing in this category, and the second spout is the part worth explaining.

What the second spout is actually for

A single spout commits the cup to one orientation. You pick it up, and if you are approaching the portafilter or the jug from the wrong side, you rotate the cup in your hand first.

Two spouts remove that. Pour with either hand, from either side, without thinking about which way round you grabbed it. On a counter where a machine, a grinder and a kettle are all competing for space, that is a small thing you notice every time.

It is also genuinely useful for left-handed users, who otherwise spend a lot of time rotating tools designed for someone else.

Two listings of nearly the same cup

The brand’s G5140 100ml stainless cup is around ₱580 from MHW-3BOMBER’s own Philippine store. This one is around ₱590 from The Fat Seed, with the double spout as the stated difference.

Ten pesos apart, same brand, same capacity, same material. If the second spout matters to you, that is a cheap thing to have; if it does not, buy whichever shop suits you.

Priced as coffee equipment, not kitchenware

Around ₱590 for 100ml is roughly ₱5.90 per millilitre of capacity, the highest on this page.

Read as a measuring cup that makes no sense: the Koryaiko 100ml borosilicate espresso cup is around a quarter of the price for the same volume. Read as specialty coffee gear, priced on machining and finish alongside scales and tampers, it is ordinary for its shelf.

Decide which of those you are buying before you pay.

Steel versus glass at this size

Stainless will not chip, will not shatter, will not stain from coffee oils and will not hold a smell. It is the tougher material by a distance.

What it cannot do is show you anything. For espresso, watching the shot arrive and seeing where the crema settles is the reason to put a small graduated cup under the group head, and an opaque cup gives you none of it.

So this is the right cup for dosing water or milk, and the wrong one for reading a shot.

Skip it if you want to see the liquid you are measuring, or if you are shopping for the kitchen rather than the machine.
