The TIMEMORE Fish Pro X is a coffee instrument that happens to boil water. It holds a set temperature within ±0.5°C, anywhere from 40°C to 98°C, and pours through a patented gooseneck that delivers a steady vertical stream. Around ₱8,300.
Two things, and both are about control rather than heat.
It holds a temperature. Pour-over coffee brews between roughly 90°C and 96°C, and different roasts want different points in that band. An ordinary kettle boils and stops, leaving you pouring at whatever temperature the water has fallen to. This one sits on the number you set and stays within half a degree of it. TIMEMORE says that is more than three times tighter than the previous generation.
It pours where you aim. The gooseneck spout is engineered for a 90° vertical flow, so the water goes straight down onto the coffee bed instead of arcing out. That is what lets you wet grounds evenly and control the pour rate, which is most of what technique means in pour-over.
The 1350W element heats quickly for the volume, and the Grooveboard touch slider sets the target. Water-level monitoring stops it running dry, and altitude detection stops it overheating where water boils below 100°C.
900ml is not a household kettle. It will not make coffee for the family, and running noodle water through a narrow spout is slow. This lives next to your normal kettle, not instead of it.
The touch slider is fiddly with wet hands, which is the usual cost of a flat capacitive control in a kitchen.
14 ratings on the listing, so the score is a thin sample.
Around ₱8,300 as of August 9, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. It is the most expensive kettle in our coverage. If it lasts three years, an assumption rather than a published figure, that is about ₱53 a week.
The comparison that decides it is in-house: the TIMEMORE Fish Pro at around ₱6,800 has the same spout, the same 1350W element, and ±3°C instead of ±0.5°C. If you brew light roasts, the extra ₱1,500 is real. If you brew medium and dark, it is not, and you should take the cheaper one.
Buy this if you brew pour-over seriously, you already own a household kettle, and you notice the difference between 92°C and 96°C. It is the right choice for someone chasing consistency in the cup.
Skip it if this would be your only kettle, or if your coffee is a scoop of ground beans and hot water. The precision is wasted there.

Brewing medium or dark roasts? The TIMEMORE Fish Pro gives you the same spout at ±3°C for around ₱1,500 less. Want the finest, slowest stream in the range? The TIMEMORE Thin Spout Fish is around ₱7,700.

Precision and speed. The Fish Pro X holds temperature within ±0.5°C where the standard Fish Pro manages ±3°C, and TIMEMORE says the X heats about 10% faster than the Fish Pro. The X also adds water-level monitoring and altitude detection. Both share the 900ml capacity, the 1350W element, and the same patented gooseneck spout.
For light roasts and single origins, yes: those brew in a narrow window near 96°C and a few degrees down flattens them noticeably. For medium and dark roasts, which is most of what people drink, ±3°C is fine and the cheaper Fish Pro does the job. Be honest about what you brew before paying the difference.
Not really, and that is the main thing to understand before buying. 900ml will not make coffee for a family, and pouring noodle water through a narrow gooseneck is slow. It is a second kettle that sits next to your normal one. Budget for both, not one instead of the other.
Water boils below 100°C at elevation, and a kettle that does not know it is high up can keep heating past the actual boiling point trying to reach a target it cannot hit. Altitude detection lets the kettle adjust, which prevents that overheating. In most of the Philippines it will rarely be needed, but in Baguio or the Cordilleras it is doing real work.
