TIMEMORE Fish Pro review: the gooseneck most people should buy

The TIMEMORE Fish Pro is the gooseneck kettle we would point most people to. It has the same patented spout and the same 1350W element as the Fish Pro X, holds temperature within ±3°C instead of half a degree, and costs around ₱1,500 less. Around ₱6,800.

What does it do well?

The pour, which is most of the point. The gooseneck spout is engineered for a steady 90° vertical flow, so water lands straight down on the coffee bed and you control the rate. A normal kettle arcs and gushes, which channels through the grounds and makes worse coffee from the same beans. That spout is identical to the one on the more expensive Fish Pro X.

Temperature holding within ±3°C is the other half. Ordinary kettles boil and stop, so you pour at whatever the water has cooled to. Three degrees of drift is close enough that medium and dark roasts, which is what most people actually drink, brew consistently.

What are the limits?

±3°C is six times looser than the Fish Pro X. For light roasts and single origins, which brew in a narrow window near 96°C, that difference is audible in the cup. For everything else it is not.

It heats slower than the X and has no water-level monitoring or altitude detection, so it will not stop itself running dry the way the X does.

900ml is a coffee kettle, not a household one. You will still own two kettles.

Is this electric kettle sulit?

Around ₱6,800 as of August 9, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. If it lasts three years, an assumption rather than a published figure, that is about ₱44 a week.

The value argument is entirely against its own sibling, and it is a good one. You get the spout, the element, and the interface of the Fish Pro X for around ₱1,500 less, and you give up precision most drinkers cannot use. Unless you brew light roasts, this is the smarter buy of the two.

Who this electric kettle suits

Buy this if you brew pour-over with medium or dark roasts, you already have a household kettle, and you want the TIMEMORE pour without paying for laboratory precision. It is the right choice for most home brewers.

Skip it if you drink light roasts and chase consistency, in which case pay up for the X. Skip it entirely if this would be your only kettle.
