Xiaomi Mijia Kettle 2 review: 1800W for around ₱1,500, if you pick the right variant

The Xiaomi Mijia Kettle 2 is a lot of kettle for around ₱1,500: 1.7L and 1800W. The complication is that one listing covers two different models, and only one of them does temperature control.

What do you get?

The shared hardware is strong for the money. 1800W on a full 1.7L is quicker than the 1500W kettles here, and the capacity handles a family round of coffee in one boil. At around ₱1,500 that puts it among the best basic value in this list.

The Pro variant is a different appliance. It adds stepless temperature setting in 1°C steps, which is finer than the ZOLELE’s five presets and approaching the gooseneck coffee kettles, plus Mi Home app control, up to 24 hours of keep warm, and a noise-reducing interior coating so it is quieter coming to the boil.

If your home already runs on Xiaomi, the app integration is real: hot water scheduled for when you wake up, set from the same app as your lights.

What is the catch?

The listing covers both models, so what arrives depends on the variant you select. The standard Kettle 2 has no temperature control at all, and that is the single most important thing to know before ordering. Check the variant selector, and check the price, because the Pro costs more.

Beyond that: no named safety cutout published the way Philips and Asahi name Strix, and no stated warranty terms on the listing.

As a smart kettle, the Pro variant is the cheapest 1°C temperature control we have found, which is a genuinely strong position.

Who this electric kettle suits

Buy the base model if you want a fast, full-size kettle cheaply. Buy the Pro if you want fine temperature control and your house already runs on Mi Home. It is the right choice for a Xiaomi household either way.

Skip it if you are not going to read the variant options carefully. Ordering the wrong one is the most likely way to be disappointed here.
