Xiaomi double wall kettle review: cool to touch, thin on detail

The Xiaomi double wall kettle is a cool-touch body at a budget price: around ₱2,000, from Xiaomi’s own Philippine store. What it does not come with is a spec sheet.

What is the case for it?

The double wall. An air gap between the inner pot and the outer shell keeps the surface you touch far below the temperature of the water, and holds the water hot longer once it has boiled. On a counter in a house with toddlers, that is the difference between a kettle that is safe to be near and one that is not.

Almost everything else at this price is single-wall. The Philips HD9395 has it at around ₱3,200; the Imarflex IK-515S at around ₱1,900. Being in that group for around ₱2,000, from a brand’s own store, is a real position.

65 owners rating it 4.9, with 249 sold, is a reasonable record.

What is missing?

The two numbers that decide whether a kettle suits you. The listing states neither capacity nor wattage. You cannot tell whether it holds 1.2L or 1.7L, or whether it boils in three minutes or six.

That is a bigger gap here than it would be on a cheap accessory, because capacity and watts are the whole functional description of a kettle. Both the Imarflex and the Philips publish theirs, along with the steel grade, the safety cutout, and in Imarflex’s case the warranty.

There are also no temperature presets, and no named safety cutout.

Is this electric kettle sulit?

Around ₱2,000 as of August 9, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. If it lasts three years, an assumption rather than a published figure, that is about ₱13 a week.

The value depends entirely on what arrives. If it is a 1.7L at decent wattage, it is a bargain for a double-walled kettle. If it is a 1.2L at 1500W, it is ordinary. The Imarflex IK-515S at around ₱1,900 is insulated, states 1.5L and 1500W, names SUS304, and carries a stated 1-year warranty, which is more certainty for slightly less money.

Who this electric kettle suits

Buy this if you specifically want a cool-touch kettle on a tight budget from a brand store, and you are happy to check the listing details yourself before ordering. It is the right choice when insulation is the priority and you will do the homework.
