ZOLELE HK152 review: preset temperatures for around ₱2,000

The ZOLELE HK152 does the one thing the other ₱2,000 kettles do not: it lets you choose a temperature instead of just boiling. Five presets, 304 stainless double-layer body, 1.5L and 1500W.

Why does temperature control matter here?

Because boiling water ruins good tea. Green and white teas turn bitter above roughly 80°C, oolong wants about 85°C, and brewed coffee sits between 90°C and 96°C. A boil-only kettle leaves you pouring water into a mug and waiting an unmeasured few minutes, hoping.

Five presets covering roughly 60°C to 90°C removes the guessing, and at around ₱2,000 that is remarkable: the nearest kettle here with real temperature control is the TIMEMORE Fish Pro at more than three times the price. Even the ₱5,100 Zojirushi is boil-only.

The build backs it up. 304 stainless is the same food-grade steel Imarflex names, in a double layer so the outside runs cooler than a single-wall kettle. Auto shut-off and boil-dry protection are both stated.

What are the limits?

The preset count is disputed. Philippine listings say five settings; ZOLELE’s overseas pages say six. We have not been able to reconcile them, so we will not present either as fact. If a specific temperature is your reason for buying, check the live listing.

The seller is a marketplace store, not a ZOLELE brand shop, so warranty questions have an extra step compared to the Philips or Asahi listings.

Is the ZOLELE electric kettle sulit?

Around ₱2,000 as of August 9, 2026. Check the latest price on Shopee. If it lasts three years, an assumption rather than a published figure, that is about ₱13 a week.

It costs the same as the boil-only Asahi EK-175, and the trade is clear: you give up 400W of speed and 0.2L of capacity, and you get temperature control and a double layer. For a tea drinker that is an easy yes. For someone making 3-in-1 coffee, it is the wrong trade, and the Asahi is the better kettle.

Who the ZOLELE electric kettle suits

Buy this if you drink loose-leaf tea or brew coffee at home and you are not spending gooseneck money. It is the right choice as the cheapest honest route to temperature control.

Skip it if your kettle is for instant coffee and noodles. You would be paying for a feature you never press, and losing speed for it.
