A training treat has to be small

Training works through repetition, and every repetition needs a reward. A useful session might run twenty or thirty of them.

Treats should stay under roughly a tenth of a cat’s daily calories, which for a 4kg adult is about 20 to 25 kcal out of 200 to 250. Twenty rewards inside that budget means each one is about a gram, not fifteen.

So the sausage is not the reward, it is the raw material. Cut it into pieces the size of a grain of rice, keep them in a small container, and use one per repetition. That is the actual technique, and nothing on the listing says so.
