Goodest cat wet food 85g 24-pack review

Twenty-four pouches across tuna, chicken and mackerel, from a brand that does something unusual in this category: it prints its numbers.

Most of this shelf publishes nothing

Of the cat foods we list, fewer than a third state a crude protein figure at all. Goodest states protein, fat, fibre and moisture, and names its ingredients.

For the tuna variant that is 7% crude protein, 1.5% fat, 1% fibre and up to 87% moisture, over water, tuna, soybean oil, minerals, gelling agents, wheat gluten, DHA and vitamins. The chicken and mackerel variants differ a little.

Being able to read that is worth something on its own. You can compare this pouch to another food. You cannot compare a pouch that tells you nothing to anything.

Seven percent is a bigger number than it looks

Take the water out, which is the only fair way to compare a wet food with a dry one, and about 54% of what is left is protein.

Every kibble on this page that publishes a figure works out around a third on the same basis. So the pouch with the small-looking number is the higher-protein food, by a wide margin, and the label simply does not show it.

What twenty-four pouches actually covers

At around ₱655 as of August 1, 2026 that is roughly ₱321 a kilo, or about ₱27 a pouch.

As a daily topper over kibble, this box is a month. As a complete diet it is about six days, because a 4kg adult cat needs roughly 200 to 250 kcal a day and a gravy-style pouch supplies a small part of that.

Most Filipino households feed the first way, kibble in the bowl with a pouch over it, and for that pattern a 24-pack lines up neatly with one shopping cycle.

Pack size is not a price decision with this brand
