Why does it win?

Because it publishes the numbers that matter and then stands behind them longer than anyone else.

How much does the inverter motor save?

Enough to matter in a Filipino household, where fans run nightly for months.

A conventional AC tower fan draws roughly 45W to 60W. This one draws 28W. Call the gap 20W to 30W, run it 10 hours a night through a hot season, and you are looking at a few hundred pesos a year saved, every year, against a fan that also runs quieter.

What are the weak points?

Two, and one of them is a straightforward gimmick.

The 90-degree oscillation is standard rather than generous. Fine aimed at one bed or one sofa. Less good for a sala with people spread around, where the Xiaomi Smart Tower Fan 2 sweeps 150 degrees for around ₱3,100 less.

The fragrance emitter adds nothing. Scenting the air is not cooling it, and it is the kind of feature that exists to lengthen a bullet list. The ionizer is similarly marginal. Ignore both; the fan underneath is the product.

The detachable rear grille is the genuinely useful design touch, since tower fans are otherwise a nightmare to clean.

Across its 5-year motor warranty, that is about ₱4 a day for the fully covered period, and the 28W draw means the electricity on top is minimal.

That warranty is the value argument. Most tower fans here carry one year. Buying five years of cover on the component most likely to fail, on a fan you will run every night of the hot season, is worth the premium over a ₱4,500 machine that may need replacing sooner.

Who the Asahi TF-007 suits

Buy this if the fan will run nightly for months and you want the running cost, the airflow and the safety certification all published, with a warranty long enough to matter. It is the right choice for a Filipino bedroom or a small sala, and the safest single purchase in the category.

Skip it if the fan needs to serve several people spread across a room, where wider oscillation matters more than efficiency, or if your budget stops around ₱4,500.
