What is the Cr-Mo nose actually for?

Longevity at the part that wears first.

Chrome molybdenum steel is the alloy used where something has to be both hard and tough at once, which is why quality sockets and impact tools are made from it. On a hand riveter, the nose takes repeated compressive load and gradually wears at the mouth, and a worn nose is what starts letting the rivet sit crooked.

Putting Cr-Mo there is a genuine engineering choice rather than a marketing word, and Deli is the only brand in our ranking that names an alloy for the nose specifically.

The nose is also replaceable, which pairs well with that. On most riveters in this category, when the nose or jaws wear you buy a new tool. On this one you can swap the worn part and keep going, which changes the economics of a ₱775 riveter considerably.

What is the problem with the specification?

The rivet sizes do not agree between sources, and we would rather flag that than pick one.

Those are meaningfully different tools. If you are buying this specifically for 6.4mm capability, that claim is coming from the seller and not from Deli’s own catalogue, so ask before ordering.

Beyond that, the usual 13 inch trade-offs apply: it will not fit inside a cabinet or along a duct, and it is heavier to hold at arm length.

Is this hand riveter sulit?

That is roughly four times a 10.5 inch riveter covering the four common sizes, and for household use that is not the sensible spend.

Where it makes sense is as a repairable tool for someone who rivets often. The Cr-Mo nose and the replaceable head mean this can be kept working long after a cheaper tool would have been binned, and across years that changes the comparison.

Who this hand riveter suits

Buy this if you rivet often enough that a replaceable nose is worth paying for, and you work at the larger end of the size range. It is the right choice for someone who maintains tools rather than replacing them. If you want a 13 inch tool with a rivet chart you can verify before buying, the Tolsen is the safer purchase.
