When is a lighter riveter actually worth it?
When you set a lot of rivets in one go.
A single rivet does not care what the tool weighs. Fifty of them, along a gutter run or across a set of cabinet panels, and the weight of the tool becomes the thing your forearm notices, especially if you are working overhead.
Aluminium alloy is around a third the density of steel, so a body machined from it is meaningfully lighter than the same tool in steel. That is the entire proposition of the 43003 against the 43001.
The 10.5 inch length adds a genuine half-inch of leverage over the 10 inch steel model too, which makes 4.8mm rivets slightly easier. So it is not purely a material swap.

Toughness, and price.
Aluminium dents where steel scuffs. A riveter that lives in a work bag with hammers and wrenches will pick up damage faster in this material, and a badly dented body can eventually put the nose out of square.
The rivet chart is also identical to the cheaper steel model: 2.4mm, 3.2mm, 4.0mm and 4.8mm in aluminium rivets. No stainless rating, no bigger size. You are paying for the material and the industrial-range positioning, not for capability.
