What does the aluminium alloy body buy you?

Weight, and nothing else.

Wadfow sells two riveters in our ranking. The WHR1609 is steel-bodied, comes in 9.5 and 10.5 inch versions, and stores its nosepieces on the tool. The WHR2610 is the 10.5 inch aluminium alloy model. Both set the same four rivet sizes.

So the honest framing is that this is the lighter version of a tool you can already buy cheaper, and the question is whether the weight matters to you.

It does if you set rivets in long runs or work overhead, where a lighter tool at the end of a 10.5 inch arm is genuinely less tiring. It does not if you use a riveter a few times a year.

The parts doing the work, the steel jaws and nose, are the same either way. Body material does not change what the tool can set.

Where does it sit against the rest?

Middle of the pack, and priced above where its specification puts it.

At 10.5 inches it has the standard all-rounder leverage, enough for 4.8mm aluminium rivets without a fight. The four rivet sizes are the ones Philippine hardware shops stock.

What it lacks is anything that would justify the step up in price beyond the material: no stem collector, no swivel head, no quick-change nose, and no published stainless rating.

Aluminium alloy also dents where steel scuffs, so if the tool travels in a bag with heavier tools, the cheaper steel Wadfow is arguably the better buy as well as the cheaper one.

Is this hand riveter sulit?

Against the WHR1609 at around ₱210 from the same brand, that is over half again as much for a lighter body and no extra capability.

Against the Tolsen 43003, the other aluminium tool here at around ₱380, it is the cheaper of the two aluminium options with the same rivet chart, which is where its case is strongest.

Who this hand riveter suits

Buy this if you specifically want a lighter riveter and you prefer Wadfow to Tolsen, or if you set rivets in long runs where weight tells. It is the right choice for a workshop bench rather than a travelling work bag. If you just want the four common sizes at the best price, the cheaper steel Wadfow does the same job and keeps its nosepieces on the tool.
